Well, we broke down and made a new coupler mechanism.

Our old coupler, while based on the the Kadee #5 design, was dated, and we had some quality control issues.   From falling out trip pins and bent shanks, to twisted knuckles and missing springs.  Our new system which will be shown as soon as a video is done, works with Kadee #158 couplers....the ones that we are including in our cars :).
     The couplers that we used to use were really sub-par, and any manufacturer that continues to use them are foolish.  What?  did I say that out loud?   Well, it is true.  There is not substitute for Kadee.  For more information on KADEE couplers, check their website at www.kadee.com.
      Shown below is our new coupler spring and magnetic uncoupling system...all our cars and trucks now feature KADEE coupler.
